To do this, TUOI implements:
- A structured approach based on recognized educational models;

- Social and community integration in an environment optimized for normalization;
- Active parent participation in the life of their child and decisions concerning them;
- An approach based on joint actions, partnership and complementarity of resources.

Field workers and community members
TUOI organizes a number of awareness events aimed at the community. Two great examples are our Autism Awareness Month and Autism Walk. (link in french only)
The organization also provides services and educational materials to field workers and community members to support their efforts for inclusion of autistic individuals.
Our awareness programs and lending library help field workers and community members to increase their knowledge of autism and better adapt their interactions and interventions. This way, anyone can become “autism-friendly”.
