When are the services provided?
Services to participants (children and school-age teenagers) and their families are provided during the weekends, from September until June.

Where do the activities take place?
Overnight respite services are provided at 200 Robert-Wright St. in Aylmer.

Evening and day time respite services are provided at 109 Wright St. in TUOI’s installations.

Recreational activities are held at 109 Wright St. in TUOI’s installations and in the community.

Who can register?
Activities are reserved for school-age children who have attended one full-time year in a school environment program and whose family has paid their annual registration fees to TUOI for the current year.

How much does it cost?
Fees vary by activity.

• Daytime respite: $30/day
• Evening respite: $15 per family + $5 per meal
• 24h respite for children: $75/24h
• Weekend respite for teenagers: $100/48h
• Recreational activities: $30/activity

Payment is due following receipt of the registration contract and invoice. Payment in instalments is possible for any invoice over $200. Fees are payable by cheque or cash only (please see details on the invoice).

The cancellation and refund policy is available upon request.

How can we register?
The registration period for September to June opens in August, November and February. Exact dates and detailed information are made available in the Services section of our website. To register your child, please complete the form by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page. Note that the link is only active during the registration period.

For those who do not have Internet access or are not comfortable with technology, it is possible to schedule an appointment during the registration period and to complete your registration form at TUOI with one of our employees. Please contact our office at 819-595-1290, ext. 21 to make an appointment.

How are available spaces distributed?
Our new internal procedure for distribution of available spaces applies, according to the total number of applications received. Please note:

• The procedure is applied for each round during the distribution of available spaces.
• At registration, a parent can indicate preferences for some activities or dates.
• A maximum of one activity per week will be allotted to each participant (e.g. one daytime respite, or one recreational activity, or one evening respite).

What happens next?
Within 30 working days after the end of the registration period, TUOI will send tutors and parents by postal mail a registration contract confirming services. The parent or tutor must return the signed contract to TUOI by the deadline indicated in the contract.
